Soil based agro technology transfer / Consultancy Services
The department is providing services to the stakeholders by way of supplying information on the soil and land resources of an area as per requirement of the agencies. The various consultancy services include undertaking soil analysis for the various parameters as per the request of the user and supplying maps on the soil and land resources of the area of interest of the user agency on realizing user fee at Government approved rates. Apart from these, the State Soil Museum act as reference centre on first hand information on soils of Kerala. The museum is open to public on all working days from 10am to 5pm by charging a nominal entrance fee. The Institute for Watershed Development Management, Kerala at Chadayamangalam, provide trainings to farmers, officers and various functionaries involved in watershed development and management.
